Picture us, playing Guess Who? before bathtime. What a nice, quiet way to end a day, especially one filled with more emotional instability than expected. As we finished up, M started reading some of the names of the faces on the game.
M: Is that… Just… Just-ih?
M: Oh. Like Justin Bieber?
Me: Did you just say Justin Bieber?
M: I don’t know. I just made it up.
Me: No, you didn’t. Justin Bieber is a singer. Where did you hear about Justin Bieber?
M: I don’t know. Is it a bath or shower tonight?
He heard it somewhere. School, maybe, or in casual conversation. We’re too old to be Justin Bieber fans around here, though I expected he was too young to hear about Justin Bieber. Which I guess goes to show that expectations are challenged more than once daily around here.
